Palazzo Diamanti in Ferrara: after Bansky, it’s Ligabue’s turn. The exhibition “An artist’s life” reaches 35,000 visitors.

Antonio Ligabue anthological exhibition “A life as an artist” at Palazzo dei Diamanti closed at midnight on Sunday 18 July. An exhibition that opened on 30 October 2020 and was forced to remain closed for a long period due to restrictions on pandemic containment.

As already happened for the exhibition dedicated to the street artist Bansky, an extraordinary opening was planned for the last weekend of the programme.

Euro&Promos assisted the Municipality of Ferrara with the management of the exhibition during the 104 days it was open, welcoming 34,619 visitors, with an average daily attendance of 335 people.

Other relevant data come from the 531 interviews given by visitors, recorded in the period 22.06-18.07. One of the most important data concerned the overall judgement on the exhibition: 97,74% of the interviewees expressed a positive comment. The visitors’ opinion of the bookshop was also excellent, with 73.45% appreciating it.

Euro&Promos, in these years of fruitful collaboration with Este’s administration (since 2017 it has been managing various museums, bookshops and exhibition venues in the city), has been able to count on the contribution of over 20 highly experienced and continuously trained specialist operators.

“Our thanks go to them, with their often invisible work they have made the success of the city’s exhibitions and cultural events possible,” says Alberto Tavano Colussi, CEO of Euro&Promos.

“Unfortunately, in recent years we have had to deal with a pandemic that has hit the cultural sector particularly hard. It’s clear that the hiccups in opening have heavily influenced our work.

When the restart is complete,” concludes Tavano, “the outlook will also change. We are proud to be able to collaborate with the municipal administration of Ferrara. The aim of our work is to contribute, in active collaboration with all the players in Ferrara’s prestigious cultural ‘workshop’, to making the experience of visiting art and culture enthusiasts easy and enjoyable, guaranteeing full accessibility and total safety for the museums and exhibitions and the precious collections they house.
